Out & About: Element – Dog Friendly B&B

May 15, 2021|

Well hello there dog lovers!

We are back to that charming time of year after the cold and before the swelter, where we can really enjoy some great little trips out of town. One of the Chateau team’s latest finds is a charming little B&B located just 40mins from downtown Beijing, nestled just 1km off the expressway for easy access and wonderful overnight getaways.

Element is run by a very welcoming owner called Song Yang (WeChat ID: Element_Susu), just reach out to her on WeChat and she will organize the booking for you. The residence is roughly 5000sqm+ and has 15 double rooms and one large two bedroom suite, so big enough to be lively if you want to bring your whole posse to have a party, but also small enough to be given focused attention that can sometimes be lost at larger hotels.

Accommodation is comfortable, clean and contemporary with a vein of traditional furniture flowing through the whole establishment. All the rooms have underfloor heating and air-conditioning which make it suitable for both winter and summer visits. Culinary choices are broad and very well priced, whether it be the fresh fruit for afternoon tea, or a whole lamb on a spit, Song Yang and her team can handle the vast majority of requests.

Most importantly, doggie family members are warmly welcomed into all parts of the residence. Having afternoon tea, your dog is there with you. Having a morning coffee, your dog is there with you. Enjoying a big banquet dinner with a spit roast out in the garden with family and friends, your dog is there with you. Places as welcoming and chilled as this are few and far between.

To get there, just search 元宿 or Yuansu in your maps, and it should appear like this:

If you have any questions at all, or would like some more pictures of Element, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Chateau Canine team (WeChat ID: ChateauCanine)
